I admit, until this very moment, I had not heard anything about Toy Soldiers: War Chest. Releasing later this summer for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, the face-paced tower defense game pits two armies of plastic toys against one another in an epic battle for control of the toy chest. The four previously announced armies were fairly basic ideas – the German imperial army, a generic Rainbow Princess deal, evil knights, and futuristic soldiers. Today, Ubisoft unleashed the big guns – they’ve licensed He-man and GI Joe for the game. Check out the trailer:

So yeah, this game just went from “unknown” to “instabuy” to me. And the best part? There are still two more licensed armies yet to be revealed. We could get the Transformers! Or Jem and the Holograms! Or, for a really deep cut, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light!

Or we might get the Gobots. Who knows?

The game releases for PS4, Xbox One and PC later this summer. Expect more news next week during E3.
