Saturday at Comic-Con 2017

Blade Runner 2049 has gotten all the buzz around the off-sites. Featuring a unique VR experience in a moving chair, live actors, costumes, sets, ramen, t-shirts, interactive play, and whiskey – it’s no wonder this experience has boasted some of the longest lines at the con. Blade Runner is a fully immersive experience not to be missed for anything.

Adult Swim on the Green brought their carnival to the “green” once again. Featuring fewer tents than in previous years, guests could race stuffed animal cars, shoot “machine guns” and squirt guns alike as well as various other games for prizes. The larger games were gone – such as punch the uvula, but the area is still a fun place to check out for a spell.

Conival was offered for several years by Nerdist / Geek & Sundry – Legendary. This has now moved to a casual and cozy patch of land behind the Mariott Marquis. Bands play and staged readings performed while guests play board games from an extensive library, charge their devices and chill out.

Geek & Sundry’s 10th-anniversary panel announced scripts, costumes, props and music from the iconic web-series will now go on display at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. as part of their permanent library! The whole cast was in attendance, moderated by the producer. No plans for a reunion show, but Felicia teased new comics may be in the works featuring the gang.

Ilana & Abbi of Comedy Central’s hit Broad City brought their irreverent to SDCC for the first time. The fourth season will debut in September and feature A-list guests such as Jane Curtin and Shania Twain. The new season will hit topics such as Ilana’s loss of prowess after the election, female power in aging, and an animation heavy mushroom tripping episode.

Rick & Morty on the green premiered a new episode based on Morty’s sister Summer and her search for identity amid family turmoil. Post-Apocalyptic and cool as hell, Summer looks to be growing as a character in the show while Jerry takes a small back seat this season. Will Rick finally take an adventure with just daughter Beth? Will we learn what happened to Beth’s Mom? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!

If there is anything we’ve missed, let us know! With so much at the con, we wish we could do it all!
