Rest in Peace, James Horner

Have you ever heard Captain EO?

He scored it.

Did you grow up with Star Trek movies? He brought a dynamism to match the action.

Were you able to look past the ship and listen to the score of Titanic? He gave us the wings to soar over the waves.

Did you answer yes to any of these?  Then, like me, you are placing your hat over a heavy heart today as the news breaks that James Horner, the composer of many an iconic soundtrack, died in a plane crash. I’m not sure how to convey in typed words his impact on the industry or on my emotions. So, instead, let’s take a listen to his life’s work, with perhaps his most fitting song for this occasion.
