Nickelodeon Brings Back Double Dare for Comic Con

Nickelodeon, our old pal from the 90s, seems to have decided to go full nostalgia for San Diego Comic Con this year. They’ve already announced that their booth on the floor will be themed around Legend of the Hidden Temple, with appearances from Kirk Fogg, the original host, and Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of Olmec. Now they’ve announced that the dream of pretty much anyone who grew up in the 90s is coming true – Double Dare is coming back.

For one night only, July 22nd, original host Marc Summers will be MCing the return of Double Dare, as SDCC attendees will compete to answer questions, dare the other team, and inevitably, perform the physical challenges we all love and remember from when we were kids. That means more of this:

Excitement is already palpable on the internet. People want the opportunity they never had as kids, and they want it bad, including a certain favorite of ours:

New Day. Double Dare. Everyone wants to see that, Nickelodeon. Book it.

The single most important question remains, however. Will someone have to climb up a giant, fake nose?

Referred to as a God Among Men, the Greatest Man that Ever Lived, and That Dude Over There…No, The Dude with the Long Hair and the Goatee…Yes, That Guy, Mike has grown up being known and loved around his apartment. In addition to being a successful film director and editor, he loves video games, movies, comic books, board games, and his wife and cat. He’s been friends with Jarys for over a decade now, and they started hosting a radio show together on college that became the genesis for the Ace of Geeks Podcast.
