“Hellfire”, “Legion”: Two Marvel Shows Headed To Fox

If you are a fan of the classic “X-Men” comic storylines including “Dark Phoenix Saga” and “New Mutants”, we’ve got some wonderful news for you.  It was announced today that Fox, who still owns all the rights to mutants and X-Men characters/storylines, is moving forward with two brand new LIVE ACTION television series titled “Legion” and “Hellfire“.

All we know for sure at this point (according to Deadline) is the FOX owned FX Network has ordered a pilot for Legion, written/executive produced by Fargo creator Noah Hawley. The basic premise for this title will be something to do with Professor Charles Xavier’s son David Halley, who was first introduced in New Mutants #25 in 1985.

Fox has also closed a deal to develop Hellfire, created by Evan Katz (24: Live Another Day), Manny Coto (24), Patrick McKay (Star Trek 3) and JD Payne (Star Trek 3).  This means we may well see Emma Frost, Sebastian Shaw, Jason Wyngard, and MAYBE EVEN MADELYNE PRYOR.

We don’t know anything else about the projects yet, but as soon as show runners/cast is announced, we’ll let you know!
