Yesterday, despite all odds, a second piece of Star Wars news managed to set the Internet abuzz on top of the already overwhelming excitement about the Rogue One teaser trailer. Today, the Ace of Geeks is proud to bring an exclusive first hand look at it: the Build a Bear Workshop Wicket Warrick plush! The plushes were live on the BABW website for only a couple of hours before they had entirely sold out and were only restocked today, though every source promised that they would arrive in Build a Bear Workshops across the nation early next week. Today we managed to score one at a store that threw up their stock as soon as it hit them, and he is a beauty!
To kick of the new arrival, Build a Bear Workshop has a sale going on: two for $45 on all Star Wars Build a Bears, which includes the brand new Wicket, Chewbacca, and their garish Star Wars Bear, which outside of the sale will run you at $28, $35, and $25 respectively. At this time it is unknown how long the sale will last, nor how far current stocks of Wicket will go.
In addition to the standard size, a smaller Ewok is available at most BABW stores for $12, and would be roughly to scale with other Build a Bears (supposing you’re planning a stuffed Endor diorama any time soon). Of course there is also a whole host of Star Wars clothes and accessories, including costumes, pyjamas, light sabers, blasters, Chewbacca’s bowcaster and more. Unfortunately however, the brand new Rey costume seems to be in high demand, and is missing from many store shelves. This is furthering the ongoing misfortune of the Rey toy drought that has already been widely publicized.
Wicket himself comes with his headdress attached under his ears, making in non-removable without potentially damaging your brand new stuffie. He fits the standard Build a Bear clothes, and can also be outfitted with a 6-in-1 Ewokese sound button (Star Wars theme, Imperial March, R2-D2, and Chewbacca sounds are also available).
Standing at 13″ inches tall, Wicket is made of incredible soft fabric and is embarrassingly huggable (it will be embarrassing how often you will be hugging this Ewok).
If you’re out looking for this guy, give your local Build a Bear Workshop a call as they may already have him in stock!
Thanks for reading, and enjoy your Ewok snuggles!
