SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The Ace of Geeks will be participating in their third year of the Extra Life game-a-thon. Extra-Life is an organization that brings gamers together to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across the country. The event consists of a 24-hour game-a-thon in which many participants stream their games in order to raise more money for their Children’s Miracle Network hospital of choice.
The Ace of Geeks raised over $1,000 last year for the UCSF Benioff’s Children’s Hospital of SF/Oakland and the Children’s Hospital of St. Louis.
GAME-A-THON – As in previous years, the Ace of Geeks will stream for the entire 24 hours of the game-a-thon. You can tune in to their twitch channel and follow along at www.twitch.tv/aceofgeekspodcast
The games this year will be a mix of both analog and tabletop/board games as in previous years. Check out our full schedule right here.
DONATE – If you are interested in donating to help support the Ace of Geeks, and by extension the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, please visit their team page here: www.extra-life.org/team/AceOfGeeks
One hundred percent of proceeds to go treatments for thousands of children who are facing scary conditions like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents. All donations are tax-deductible.
ABOUT THE ACE OF GEEKS
The Ace of Geeks started as a weekly podcast – an excuse to get two friends together every week to talk about life, love, and the geeky things we loved. After three years, we began bringing on some other friends, people we knew were as passionate about the geek world as we are. We’ve evolved into a site that we hope will be your destination for all the geekiness you care to devour, every day.
